Happy Thanksgiving
I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and gives thanks to all those that love
us and care for us.
The New Wheel Name
The new wheel that is similar to the Matchbox Wheel was designed by Phil Reihlman.
So Mattel has decided to call it the pr5. Phil Reilman has also designed some of the
new 2001 editions including the Cadillac LMP, Surfin' School Bus, La Troca, and Krazy 8's.

Hot Wheels Price Guide
As mentioned in the meeting, Alleyguide has moved into the Mobilia Domain. The old
Price Guide can be found at
http://www.alleyguide.com/hwguide.cfm. It seems to be fairly updated, since it lists the
first nine 2001 models. The new one will be found on
www.mobilia.com under Community and ModelPricer, but it is not up as yet.

From the Hot Wheels Newsletter
A new Series, Fire Rods, similar to Cop Rods Series should be out at Kaybees in January.
In February, Walgreens will be coming out with an exclusive 2-pack like the HEB
Highway Hauler 2-pack, but the Highway Hauler will be replaced with a '56 Ford Panel truck.
The other car in the 2-pack will be a regular issue.
Pep Boys will be getting a Highway Hauler 2-pack in December.
1st Annual Hot Wheels Collector's Nationals
As opposed to the Hot Wheels Collector's Convention, the Nationals will be held in the
eastern half of the United States in the spring and in the Western half in the fall.
The First Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals is scheduled April 5th through the 8th, 2001.
This will be held in the Chicago area at the Hyatt Regency Oakbrook in Oakbrook, Illinois.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on January 15th from the
Hot Wheels Newsletter.

NEW ASTRO'S HOT WHEELS
I went to the Astro's game last night and got the new Astro's Hot Wheel.
It's a nice Phaeton with the 5 Spoke wheels. Here's another view.

White's Guide Court Case Update
Looks like the White’s Guide thing is just about settled.
There will be a hearing on Oct. 11 to allow Mallonee to sell the cars.
He has 75,000 cars and will pay White’s Guide $35,000 for selling them (on top of what he paid Mattel).

Dream Halloween 2000
David has posted a picture of the
2000 edition Dream Halloween Anglia Panel Truck. This is a worthwhile charity that
supports Children Affected by Aids
Foundation that provides direct care and assistance to
children affected by AIDS/HIV. You can buy one of these cars, limited to 2000, for $200.
David also has the 1999 and 1998 editions for $300 and $350 respectfully or you can buy
all three for $800. Check it out here
2001 Treasure Hunts
Mark has posted a little about the 2001 Treasure Hunts.
All but one will have Real Rider Tires next year. And two of the twelve will be the Fantasy Bike and the Ramp Truck.

issue cars in the normal 72 count HW cases. These will be #44 Kyle Petty's
car ONLY and will be randomly issued just like the normal TH's

White's Guide Cars
The saga continues. It looks like Diecast Marketing Innovations LLC and Steve Mallonee are being sued for
making a deal to buy the cars from Mattel
without White's Guides consent .

There will be another hearing on this matter on 5/3/2000.
In other news it looks like a C. W. Hudson (an individual from the Richmond, Virgina area) will buy the "Inventory"
of collectible toys from White's Guide for $18,000.
Not sure if this includes the Hot Wheels.
