1999 Treasure Hunts
The Hot Wheel Cartel has posted pictures
of all the 1999 Treasure Hunts.
These pictures compare the actual cars with the poster picture. Another
one of these guys that has the right connections at Mattel. Check out the
pictures here.
Custom Site
Altered States Conversions is run by a jeweler that can really do a good job on
customizing some cars. Bill lives in Livingston and hopes to come to a meeting soon.
Let's hope he brings some of these customs to see in person. Check out the

Hot Wheels® Promotions
Buy Your Dream Car, Win Your Dream Car
Well I got a call from Mattel today and they were grateful that I brought
their attention to the promotion listed on the
service page. Unfortunately
the Win Your Dream Car Promotion will not happen. I really
looked forward to a chance at winning a 60's Muscle car. Oh well.
It seems that the promotions are dreamed up way in advance and that
list got to someone who was posting them, as they should have happened.
They did not know they had been canceled.
Everyone go to the Talk To Us
page on the Mattel site and tell them that you would like to see this promotion.
Hot Wheels® Web Page Update
Mattel has finally added the
1999 Mainline of cars to their website. You can even rate the castings by the
coolness.
As I thought, the '56 Ford Truck is in the lead with a rating of 9.06. Check it out.

Home Shopping Network
The Home Shoppping Network (Channel 67 in Houston) will have a
Hot Wheels show Thursday, June 10th at 2:00 a.m. and again at 3:00 p.m. (CST)
I think the Hot Wheels part will start on the half hour due to the title being
Raggedy Ann $ Andy Premiere / Hot Wheels Show Premiere.

Recent Finds
Yesterday I finally found the new 5-packs at Target. These include the House Calls,
City Center, and Ocean Blasters. Pictures will be posted shortly on the
Cars page.
JC Whitney Limited Edition
JC Whitney has come out with a new limited edition. A 40's Woodie
with surf boards. Whitney has taken a cue from Jiffy Lube and changed
the way they sell them. It is yours when you buy a $25 gift certificate.
You have to buy a certficate with each one (limited to three). Check it out
here.
White's Guide Limited Editions
Following the success of the Scooter, White's Guide has come up with two more
limited editions. The will apear in two color variations each. The Tail Dragger
in Pearl White with Flames and in Pearl Blue with Flames. The Ford GT90 in Black and in Red.
These will come with real riders (a rariety in promotion products). Check it out
here.

1972 HW case offered by Mobilia
Here is one of those three cases that were found in that old Shell station. They say they will
offer this sealed case up for auction this summer. Check out the full story
here. Also answer the question of
whether you would open this box or not. So far over 79% have said yes.
Rosie O'Donnel's Hot Wheels Desk
From the April 28, 1999 Rosie O'Donnel show. This desk was designed by Larry Wood.
This desk sold on eBay for $25,103.00, proceeds went to Rosie's charity 4 All Kids.
