Space City Hot Wheels Collectors
1999 Winter Nationals
Once a quarter we have downhill races to have
fun with our cars. That's right, we rip open those packages and run those beauties down a track
like they went meant to do.
Andy Reier built this outstanding 3 lane track out of PVC.

Paul Maner built the electronic finish line that uses light
sensors to judge those close finishes (and we had many of those this race).

The races were double elimination and we had several people trying to keep things moving.

Chuck Gronemeyer officiated the start line with the help of a few
members keeping track of the brackets.

The winners were awarded Limited Edition Hot Wheels by Andy Reier.
A US Camaro Club 1967 RS/SS Camaro to the first place finisher,
Adrian Xavier Salas. And a
Chuckie Cheese Camaro to the second place finisher, Danny Guffey.

Paul Maner also awarded a trophy to each finalist that the winning cars could be
displayed upon.
